My name is Pāpara Richards also known as Whāea Pāpara. I am a Kaiako in Whānau Ata Māori unit. I have been teaching in Māori Medium schools across Tamakimakaurau for over 10 years now. My experience as a Kaiako has been that of enjoyment, challenge, but most of all very rewarding, to see our tamariki thrive and grow in our culture and customs of Te Ao Māori and that our language lives on for future generations to come. I am very passionate about Te Reo Māori and the major benefits that come from knowing who you are and where you come from. The identity of a child and being surrounded by a loving and supportive environment is what we practice as a whānau in Whānau Ata. I look forward to meeting and greeting whānau throughout the year.
